What should be the most joyous of occasions can quickly spiral into a nearly sleepless night. Have you forgotten something critical? Check three times for that passport. What details have you failed to prepare? It\u2019s time to agonize over those just before departure. These feelings seem to grow exponentially in relation to the length of the trip. There isn\u2019t much that you can\u2019t live without during a weekend away. Extend that to a month of fast paced travel in unfamiliar lands and one becomes almost certain that Murphy\u2019s Law will come into play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Poolside Relief<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mandalay Bay has a wonderful assortment of aquatic features to appeal to the whole family. A wave pool and a lazy river are the more unique highlights. The latter includes two waterfalls in rapid succession to douse guests as they complete another lap. It\u2019s perfect in 90-degree weather. It\u2019s glorious, even for someone who typically fails to make use of the pools in their own residential community. On a personal note, my brother and I saw him once before with our dad, so it was a bit nostalgic for us. Some of the material was familiar, but plenty of it was fresh, including hilarious references to current\/recent events.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Off to Europe!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is being written at the gate just before departure from Las Vegas to Brussels, with a layover in Z\u00fcrich. Presumably thanks to an airport DJ with a sense of humor, Sheryl Crow\u2019s \u201cLeaving Las Vegas\u201d is playing over the loudspeakers. Apart from the humorous music selection, this may have been a rather mundane post for stateside readers.
